Facilities Matter a Lot

Raghu Institute of Technology fully aware of the importance of having facilities with sound facilities maintenance and management. Facilities on campus with sophistication help the student learn positively and grow healthily. Intense and supportive facilities improve a sense of safety and security, learning abilities, physical and emotional health of students. RIT never compromises in providing high standard facilities.

Hostel

Raghu Educational Institutions provide hygienic hostel accommodation to students within the institute premises. Boys’ hostel has a capacity of 700 beds with both AC and non-AC categories. Girls’ hostel has a capacity of 300 beds. The hostel is administrated by the chief warden and aided by an assistant warden. Retired Military persons will be recruited for the chief warden and warden positions of the boys’ hostel.

Library

The fully automated central library houses a comprehensive collection of over 35,000 volumes covering the entire gamut of engineering discipline. The college also subscribes to several reputed national and international journals pertaining to the prescribed curricula as well as general technology areas.

Digital Library with access to international journals from IEEE and Springer is available for both students and faculty.

RIT campus having a national level cricket stadium has rich games and sports culture. The management of the college encourages the students who are selected to the Inter-university, All India Inter-University and National level games and sports by providing financial support. The fruits of the encouragement shows the in the selections and participation our students in national level events such as Swimming, Basketball, Football, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Cricket, Kickboxing, Rollersports And Lawn Tennis. RIT conducts Principal Trophy in the odd semester and Chairman Trophy in the even semester for all sports and games. Having spacious play grounds, RIT encourages sports and games such as cricket, volleyball, basket-ball, Kho-Kho, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Kabaddi, Handball, Football, Throw-Ball and Athletics etc.

The unique feature of RIT is that it has respective stadia and play grounds for all sorts of games and sports.

Transportations

Raghu Institution of Technology provides and ensures a safe, comfortable, and time-bound bus-transportation facility that is well connected to every corner of Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram districts as well as to Srikakulam town. Separate buses and timings for the first-year students as a part of safety and security measurements.

Raghu Institution of Technology has spacious parking arena where more than 1000 two-wheelers can be parked. Separate parking facility is available for four-wheelers monitored by security personnel 7/24 hours.

Internet

A 100 Mbps leased line (1:1) and 20 mbps broadband connections are available. Wi-Fi with 9 outdoor transmitters provides 24-hr Internet facility for the students and staff.

Cafetaria

Besides the hostels, RIT has a spacious and modern central air conditioned cafeteria which caters sumptuous meals and all variety of snacks at affordable prices.

NCC & NSS

NCC

The NCC army (2 Andhra girls battalion) has been instituted for girls in order to instill discipline and patriotism among the students. The NCC Army wing (boys) has been sanctioned form the academic year 2016-17. For boys NCC Air Force wing is available in open category.

NSS

The NSS Unit sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources Development and Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India instills service motto and humanistic values to the students.

Student Clubs

With an objective of helping students to pursue their hobbies and interests and to bring people together the student clubs are created at the Institute. As a club member one knows about one’s self, one’s interests and one’s goals. Students can unravel their strengths like multitasking, organization skills, team Building skills, leadership skills and service mindedness. They can also add skills to their repertoire. The clubs also help in pursuing an old hobby. Networking opportunities being a major benefit Club members develop bonds among themselves which help in growing their careers.

Gymnasium

Raghu Institute of Technology strongly believes statement which reads: A sound body has a sound mind. It gives much importance to physical fitness of its students. The institute has fitted-out Gymnasiums for boys and girls separately. The gyms help the students get relaxed physically and mentally.
